About
About the desk
We read currency trends the way a careful treasurer would — slowly, in context, and always tied to a real payment or cover decision.
Origin
Gateway Cloudcore began as a small London practice helping sterling-based businesses interpret foreign exchange moves without sitting through noisy trading-floor chatter. The work stayed deliberately narrow: trend monitoring on the pairs clients actually settle, written in language a finance lead can take into a bank meeting.
How we work
Every engagement starts with your cash calendar, not a chart library. We ask which invoices, remittances, or property costs create currency exposure, then watch those pairs through the London session and the overnight prints that usually matter for sterling.
Readings combine price structure — ranges, break levels, failed moves — with the policy and data calendar. We name what would change our view. Clients tell us that honesty about invalidation saves more money than a bold call that ages poorly.
People and place
The desk sits at Level 12, 54 Queen Street, London EC4R 1AB, within walking distance of the bridges and clearing houses that still set the rhythm of sterling trading hours. Consultations run by video for clients outside London; Queen Street meetings remain available by appointment.
Values we keep
- Specific pairs over general markets — if it does not touch your cash flow, we leave it alone
- Written first — a note you can forward beats a verbal flourish you cannot quote
- No product pushing — we are not paid by brokers, banks, or dealing platforms
Relationship with clients
Some clients keep us on the monthly monitoring desk for years; others call only before a large euro or dollar settlement. Both patterns are welcome. We stay within foreign exchange trend monitoring and market analysis — the craft named on our door.
